Hello, a looooooooooooooooooooooong time no se

Well - I´m just reinstall my old WWII Fighters by Jane´s.

I change my PC system a 2 years ago. to a Intel core 2 duo with a Leadtech 8800GTS

320MB. and have graphic issue with black band over the sky.

For a time back, I change the driver for the card, and now, the black band is no more.

I whas surepriced, I have a blue sky like a babys blue eyes :-)

The new driver for my card is:

Nvidia original 6.14.11. 8208

Hope it is for some help

My Best Regard

DennyBoy, this topic has been covered before and it seems to me that there is some conflict with Nvidia cards. Do a search here for Nvidia cards and see what you find here.

I think you may find a solution or a work around.

The problem is that the "8" series cards are meant for DX10, not DX9 or older. The new version is greatly different than earlier versions were from each other, being it's like starting over again. Now DX11 is out but don't know if it has issues or not. There is a setting that seems to make the sim flyable by setting API=2 and running the sim in Open GL.

That solves the graphical issues and at least it's flyable that way. Best solution I can give you is to find a "7" series card and run that. I haven't heard of any real issues with an ATI card that I can think of. I purchased a 7600GS new awhile back expressly for flying the sim after I experienced these problems with my 8600's.
