P47M "Fireball" damage textures (Version 2.0)
----------------------------------------

This file augments Darrin "Hammerd" Covington's P47M "Fireball" by creating
the appearance of damage over Hammerd's original skin artwork. This update supports
ONLY the "Fireball" 3D model and skin, and cannot be installed without the original
"Fireball" download.

Updates in this version:

A. Version 1.0 erroneously painted over what should be transparent wingtip lights on the
original "Fireball." This was not intentional on my part; I had a graphics
card at the time that did not support transparent textures and therefore did not know
Hammerd had crafted "Fireball" with transparent light lenses instead of the traditional
method of just painting them onto the model. This updated release omits completely my
"painted lenses" undamaged wings bitmaps and restores the lenses on the damaged wings
to their original transparency.

B. Version 1.0 did not include any installer.bat files. Quite simply, I didn't know
how to create them back then so I relied on the user to put my textures into Hammerd's
folders and reinstall completely. This version has two installation scripts: the first
installs only the "damaged" skin and the second installs only Hammerd's original "undamaged"
wings as they were originally presented in his release.

C. Version 2.0 includes Hammerd's original Fireball undamaged wings so they can be restored
to the Fireball aircraft if you currently are using my Version 1.0 damage textures. These are
named P47_BR.bmp and P47_BL.bmp. (Note: The original bitmaps and my damage textures DO NOT
support the P47M "Fireball" High Resolution Wings upgrade, also created by Hammerd and released
after the original Fireball 3D model had been released.)

Thanks to Hammerd for his support and permission to release the original modification. Much
more thanks to him for not making a personal visit to my home to throttle me when I screwed
up his beautiful wing lights. Hammerd, you truly are a gentleman.

Installation
------------
Before installing this, or any other, custom modification, you are advised to
make a backup your original ww2.sqs archive.

If you have not yet installed the original "Fireball", do so first using the instructions
packaged as "P47M FireBall Readme" notepad in Hammerd's original.

Place the accompanying folder (P47M_Fireball_Damage_textures) in the data folder of your "Jane's
WW2 Fighters game directory. Open the folder and double click "InstallFireballdamage.bat" A DOS
session will begin recording the installation of new data to your WW2.SQS file. When the
script completes, you are ready to fly.

To restore Hammerd's original Fireball wings over a previous installation of "Damage Textures
Version 2.0", double click "Install_NoDamage_Wings.bmp"
