SPEED/HARD SPEED

These missions require you to fly low and fast. You have information of the upcoming German assault. You must get back to your base at Liege with the documents detailing the coming offensive. German saboteurs have planted a bomb on your plane to prevent the documents reaching the allies. The bombs wiped out the rest of your wing, before you realized what was going on. You must get back, but if you fly above 250 ft, or below 250 mph your aircraft will explode. Not content with relying on the saboteurs the Germans have sent everything they can muster after you. Good luck. You will need it.

Speed requires you to fly straight over hilly terrain to the airbase at Liege. You will be able to navigate by use of a waypoint over Liege. This mission is fairly easy.

Hard Speed is much more difficult. You will not be provided with a waypoint with which to find your way home. You will need to follow a river back to Liege. You will find it very difficult to make the sharp turns necessary without losing too much speed, or gaining altitude. This mission is defiantly a challenge. One hint; always make sure you take the left fork in the river. It helps to study the map before flying, and then to refer to the in-flight navigation map every once in a while.
