Messerschmitt Bf-109E4-------Janes WWII Fighters modification, By JHAT and Snorri

July 20th 2001

Notes: This package contains sound, textures and 3d model for the Bf-109E4 Modification. It also includes a 3D model and a new texture for a droptank.

Regarding credits: We would lkie to thank "Target" for the excelent FM he promptly made for us :) Thanks Target! (Note that if you have a AI aircraft loaded with a 500KG bomb, he won t take of... he will go off the runway, come tot he ground and try agian)
Also Tahnsk to everyone who helped us and supported us along the way to create the Emil. There are many names, so I won t list them all because I may forget someone and the I will be in trouble.

The FM is modeled to be used with Methaol boost all teh time, this will simulate the power the Emil had and the short supply of fuel.

The cockpit was totally repainted. Instruments were deleted and replaced, and accurate instrumentation added as well.
The sounds are completly new, arranged by Snorri. Because they are complex, we suggest that lower end users select "Simple"engine sound in teh Sound Option menu, because of frame rate.
The 3d models were reworked over Jaxon s original Bf-109F mod, hence the 3D extrnal cockpit, aileron counter weights, new gear and wheels and a new Pilot. We redid the wings, rudder, aft fuselage, nose isntkae,s pitot tube and other details.

Due to the number of files, we chose not to do it in LOW resolution, so it s a high resolution MOD, and only some video cards will run it.

Installation:

Unzip the content of the zip file to your Data folder, make sure you have "use folder names" selected in the Winzip dialog.
It will create subfodlers: 3D and BMPs, run the install bats for each kind of modificatin, FM, 3d, textures and sounds.
You are ready to fly her.

Notes: make sure your sim.elb, ww2.sqs are not "Read only", by going in properties fo teh fiel sand unchecking teh box.
Also, make sure to run teh isntallations from the Bf-109E folder, and under Data fodler.
